Elador

The planet Eladard

Eladard is a purple, industrial planet in the Lylat System.

Appearances[]

Star Fox 2[]

Eladard

Eladard appearing in Star Fox 2

It first appears in Star Fox 2. The planet's surface was littered with many factories, all once used by the forces of Venom led by Andross during his unexpected resurgence. As a result, its atmosphere was horribly polluted and little could live there.

Star Fox Collection[]

Eladard makes its reappearance in Star Fox Collection. It is the fourth stage in red line, after Aquas and before Fortuna in Star Fox Zero. Eladard is the new seventh stage in Star Fox: Assault. Eladard is one of two planetary stages during the 1st wave in Star Fox Adventures where the Arwing Walker can be used.

Mission 4. Eladard - Occupied Planet; Covert Ops[]

Vehicle: Arwing

Type: Corridor Mode

Medal Score: 250 hits

Boss: Galactic Rider, Professor Hanger

The planet's surface was littered with many cities and many factories, all once used by the forces of Venom led by Andross during the Lylat Wars. As a result, its atmosphere was horribly polluted and little could live there.

This stage on Eladard has two halves: first half will be at the actual surface of the planet similar to Corneria in Level 3 and second half is some sort of industrial highway or elevated road similar to Venom's Highway. Like Space Armada and Fortuna, Eladard had two checkpoints. Star Fox fly through the highway to sneak in a large enemy base and take it down. Fox caused the explosives the Venomians intended to plant on outpost on Katina to detonate, destroying the enemy base and the planet was free of pollution. Two bosses on Eladard is Galactic Rider, a escape pod of the Metal Smasher and Professor Hanger, a robot.

Mission 7. Eladard - Occupied Planet; Sneak Attack[]

Eladard is the new seventh stage in Star Fox: Assault.

Notes[]

  • After the initial cancellation of Star Fox 2, it is possible that Eladard's characteristics were given to Zoness and/or Macbeth. The necessity to destroy a barrier to gain access to the base was the likely inspiration for Bolse as well.
  • In Star Fox Collection's Star Fox Zero, Venom's Highway of Star Fox SNES is reused as Eladard's Highway since Venom Level 2 of the original game was taken out.

Trivia:[]

  • EGM, who covered the "WCES 95 beta" on March 1995, listed the planet as Eledard. It is possible that it was under a different name at some point in development, or was going to be renamed before cancellation.
  • Eladard have a purple atmosphere like Dark Aether and ZDR in the Metroid series.
